Phony.ai is a tool that lets people make routine informational phone calls on their behalf using AI voice technology. Instead of calling a business themselves, a user describes what they need to know and Phony makes the call, asks the questions, and delivers a summary back to the user.

Our AI agent is designed to identify itself as an AI assistant at the start of every call. If it did not do so during your call, please let us know — that's something we take seriously and want to fix.
Phony calls are initiated by real users who provide a phone number and a request. All users agree to our Terms of Service, which prohibit prank calls, harassment, and deceptive use. If you believe a call was abusive or inappropriate, please contact us and we'll investigate.
Can I block Phony from calling my business again?
Yes. Send an email to [email protected] with your business name and phone number and we'll add you to our permanent do-not-call list within 24 hours.
Is this legal?
Phony is designed exclusively for calling businesses (not consumers), and our terms prohibit users from providing personal or residential numbers. We do not record calls, which eliminates most multi-party consent requirements. We make a good-faith effort to comply with applicable telecommunications law.
What number did the call come from?
Calls are placed through our Twilio number. If you received a call you believe was from Phony, you can confirm by contacting us with the date and approximate time.
Someone using Phony harassed or deceived my business. What can I do?
We take misuse seriously. Email us at [email protected] with details (date, time, what was said) and we'll investigate, take action against the user, and share relevant information with law enforcement if warranted.
